DNA Documentation Systems

Because digital cameras record their images differently than conventional film cameras, a narrow bandpass filter may be needed to properly photograph electrophoresis gels. Without a filter the photos may show the inside of the transilluminator, including the light bulbs rather than the image of the electrophoresis gel. Our sales people can advise you from our experience.
Narrow bandpass filters allow the light required to photograph electrophoresis gels to reach the camera, while at the same time blocking excess and unwanted ultraviolet and infrared light that digital cameras often record.
Available in 52mm, Peca Narrow Bandpass Filters can be adapted to a
variety of different cameras with an adapter.
Special narrow bandpass filters are available to meet specific customer needs in both wavelength configurations and filter size. Please contact our sales staff.
